Notification Class Edit

This page allows you to edit a notification class for a panel. To access this page:

  1. From within a building, click Advanced | Panel Utilities.
  2. Click the Details tab.
  3. Select the Notification Classes section.
  4. Click on a notification class name.
  5. Click Edit Notification Class.
  6. Update the fields below as needed.
  7. Save your changes.

 

Notification Class Description

Enter a Name and Description for the notification class.

 

Instance ID

Select if you want to Allow the instance ID to be created by the device (default) or Set the instance ID manually.

 

Alarm/Event Transitions

Alarm and event transitions allows you to select when notifications are sent. To set transitions:

  1. Set the Priority for when a panel transitions to Off Normal, To Fault, or To Normal.
  2. Set the Category for each transition.
  3. Select if Alarm Acknowledgement is required for each transition.

 

Recipients

By default, Tracer Ensemble is the default alarm recipient. However, you can set recipients for each device individually:

  1. Click Add Recipient to add a new recipient.
  2. Select if you want to identify the device by the Device ID or MAC address.
  1. For Device ID, enter the Device ID.
  2. For MAC Address, enter the MAC Address and Network Number.
  1. Select the Notification Transitions. When the panel transitions to Off Normal, To Fault, and/or To Normal, a notification will be sent.
  2. Select the Notification Days.
  3. Select the Notification Times. Alarms are only sent between the hours selected.
  4. Click Save to save your changes.
