Retrieve Technician Logs

To retrieve technician logs:

  1. Click Actions and Settings.

  2. In the Logs and Reports section, click Technician Tools.

  3. Click Retrieve Existing Technician Logs.

 

A list of the Detailed Component Logs, Basic Component Logs, and Tracer Ensemble System log files displays on this page. The files available vary dependant on your Retrieval Settings. Click Retrieve Log Files to download a .zip file with the available log files.

 

Change Retrieval Settings

To change what logs are included in the zip file:

  1. Click Change Retrieval Settings.
  2. To retrieve the IIS logs, which contain information about HTTP transactions, click Retrieve the ISS logs for the last weeks and set the time frame.
  3. Click Retrieve the Windows Application Log to download the event log for the Windows server.

Note: You must have Windows Administrator permissions to retrieve the IIS and Windows Logs. If you do not have the appropriate permissions, these logs will not download.

  1. Click Save.
