Edit System Parameters
- Make changes to the parameters as desired and click Save when you are finished.
- Changes made on this page apply to all users.
- Under Building Discovery Parameters, device IDs can only be integers. Non-integer characters are removed when you click Save.
- Under Site Synchronization Parameters, specify the frequency, day, and time of day you want automatic synchronization to occur.
- The Alarm Application Parameters permit you to:
- Locate the Alarm Priority Mapping File Path, which controls how the alarm priorities are mapped.
- Enable the Audible Alarm feature which plays a sound file every time an alarm that requires acknowledgement is generated in the system.
- Locate the Audible Alarm File Path for the sound file that plays for the audible alarm.
- Entries under Global Point Control Parameters permit you to specify what types of changes are recorded in the global point control log.
- Entries under All Point Override Priority Parameters permit you to select which priority alarms can appear on the All Points In Alarm page.
- Entries under E-mail Server Parameters are not validated when you click Save. Type carefully and recheck to be sure that you do not make a mistake:
- Routing Enabled must be set to Yes or no e-mails will be send, regardless of the other settings.
- Mail Server Name is the outgoing mail server address (for example, "mail.yourcompanyname.com").
- Administrator E-mail Address, User Name, and Password are the address, name, and password that are already setup in your mail server to be used as credentials and reply-to address when e-mail messages are sent.
- E-mail Authentication is a server specific setting that you may need to make True or False depending on your mail server.
- Under Time Synchronization Parameters, specify the frequency, day, and time of day you want automatic synchronization to occur.
- The Variance algorithm lets you specify which algorithm is used in order to calculate the Variance data point for Space controllers on the Building Summary and Spaces list pages.
- When Amount out of comfort zone is selected, Variance is calculated by comparing the Space Temperature to the active heating and cooling setpoints. The purpose of this option is to calculate how far out of the ‘comfort zone’ the space temperature is. The "Comfort Zone" is defined as the temperature range between the active heating and cooling setpoints. If the Space Temperature is greater than the active cooling setpoint, Variance equals Space Temperature minus active cooling setpoint. If the Space Temperature is below the active heating cooling setpoint, Variance equals Space Temperature minus the active heating setpoint. If the Space Temperature is greater than or equal to the active heating setpoint but less than or equal to the active cooling setpoint, Variance equals zero.
- When Space temp – active setpoint is selected, Variance is calculated by subtracting the active setpoint from the Space Temperature. The active setpoint is determined by occupancy, heat/cool mode, etc. In this case, Variance will rarely be zero.
- Numeric entries under User Security Parameters are validated as soon as the cursor leaves the text box. If an invalid entry is found, a red exclamation mark "!" appears under the text box.
- Username Minimum Length and Password Minimum Length cannot be less than 6 or more than 20.
- Username Maximum Length and Password Maximum Length cannot be less than 6 or more than 15.
- Username Minimum Length and Password Minimum Length cannot be more than Username Maximum Length and Password Maximum Length, respectively.
- Other username and password Yes or No settings specify whether you want to require or permit them to contain mixed case letters, number, symbols, repeated characters or passwords that contain usernames.
- Password Expires in Days requires users to change their own password when the number of days expires. Setting the value to zero disables password expiration.
- Under General Display Settings, System Default Language can be any of the languages that are currently supported. Languages that are not listed are currently not supported.
