Property Type Description

Calling Card Number

Character

This property contains the postdial string. This string is appended to all phone numbers when the calling card utility is enabled.

Delay between modem init strings

Numeric

This property indicates the amount of time to delay between commands to the modem. Times are defined in milliseconds.

Dialing Prefix

Character

This property contains the predial string. This string is prepended to all phone numbers prior to sending the phone number to the modem.

Max Message Delivery Attempts

Numeric

This property indicates the number of retries that should be attempted on a per message basis, once all modems in the system have failed (with their retries) to connect to a given target.

Max Redial Attempts

Numeric

This property indicates the number of retries that should be attempted when a modem fails to connect to a given target.

Message Interval: Minutes

Numeric

This property indicates the interval (in seconds) that will be allowed to elapse between message delivery attempts.

Modem Answer String

Character

This property contains the ASCII setup string which can be sent to the modem to properly initialize it to auto answer incoming calls.

Modem Attention String

Character

This property contains the ASCII attention string which can be sent to the modem at any point in time to gain its attention. This will break through whatever operation the modem is currently performing and gain its attention.

Modem Configuration 1 String

Character

This property contains a user-defined ASCII setup string which will be sent to the modem as part of the modem’s initialization sequence.

Modem Configuration 2 String

Character

This property contains a user-defined ASCII setup string which will be sent to the modem as part of the modem’s initialization sequence.

Modem Dial String

Character

This property contains the ASCII dial string which can be combined with a phone number sequence and sent to the modem to cause it to dial the phone number.

Modem Hangup String

Character

This property contains the ASCII hangup string which can be sent to the modem to cause it to hang up.

Modem Originate Sting

Character

This property contains the ASCII setup string which can be sent to the modem to properly initialize it to perform dial out operations.

Modem Reset String

Character

This property contains the ASCII reset string which can be sent to the modem to restore its factory defaults. This allows the software to always have a known starting point in setting up the modem.

Object Identifier

Object ID

Unique hexadecimal ID of this object. This ID is used internally to identify the object.

Object Type

Multi-State

Designates object’s type (i.e., analog input, binary output, TCM, PCM, etc.).

Object Update Status

Binary

This property indicates that the object has changed.

Present Value

Multi-State

This property indicates the present state of the selected modem. If the modem is newly installed, this property displays NOT_INITIALIZED. The modem’s Present Value property has the following possible values: Busy, BACnet; Busy, Numeric Pager; Busy, TAP; Hardwired; Idle; and Not Initialized.

Physical Media

Binary

This property indicates whether the hardware is hardwired using RS232 cable or whether it is any modem.

Port

 

This property contains which serial port on the BCU is to be used for point to point communication. Possible values are 1 or COM1.

Redial Interval: Seconds

Numeric

This property indicates the interval (in seconds) that will be allowed to elapse between modem connection (redial) attempts.

Type of Modem

Multi-State

This property contains the make and model of modem connected to the port. 0=HARDWIRED (no modem), 1=US ROBOTICS SPORTSTER 14.4, 2=US ROBOTICS SPORTSTER 28.8, 3=HAYES ACCURA 14.4, 4=HAYES ACCURA 28.8, 5=APEX DATA PCMCIA 14.4, 6=APEX DATA PCMCIA 28.8.
