Discovery Report

• The report provides information about the building that was added or attempted.
• The Discovery Summary lists some data and statistical information about the building that was discovered:
• Operation - Describes the result of the discovery operation.  It can be Discovery successful or Discovery failed.
• Devices that Responded - The number of Trane panels or non-Trane BACnet panels that responded when Tracer Ensemble queried them.
• Devices  Queried - The number of Trane panels or non-Trane BACnet panels  that Tracer Ensemble queried and expected to respond.
• Objects Discovered - The number of individual BACnet I/O objects found in the building.
• Start Time - When the discovery process started.
• End Time - When the discovery process ended.
• Discovery Duration - The duration of the discovery process.
• Number of Retries - How many times the discovery process had to be retried before it failed or was successful.
• IP Address/DNS name -The IP address or DNS name for the building.
• UDP Port - The UDP port number for the building.
• Auto Synchronization Type - The BACnet Discovery Type, either Broadcast Discovery or the Device ID Ranges specified.
• The Device Summary lists each device that was found along with details about the device:
• IP Address - The IP address of the device. The master device for the building has the same IP address as the building.
• Device Type - Shows what kind of panel or controller the device is.
• Discovery Complete - True if the device was discovered completely.  False if the device was not completely discovered.
• Number of Objects - The number of BACNet I/O objects discovered.
• License Count - The number of whole panel licenses used by the device.
• BACNET Device ID - The Device ID number on the BACnet network.
• The Error Summary describes any errors that occurred during the discovery process.
