Customize Home Page Building Index
- This page permits you to change the way the building lists appear to all users. These choices change what users see, not the data in the individual building controllers. You can experiment with the settings to see what display configuration best suits your system and preference.
- By default, the buildings in your system are listed in alphabetical order on the building index page. In small or less complex systems, you might want to use the default setting. Select No Grouping Attributes. No other selection is needed.
- In large systems, you might want to sort the buildings by one of their built in or custom* attributes, such as City, County, or Region. Select One Grouping Attribute and specify which attribute you want as the General Grouping Attribute.
- In very large or complex systems, you might want to sort the buildings by two of their built in or custom* attributes, such as State and City, or District and Sub-District to make it easier to organize larger groups or sub-groups. Select Two Grouping Levels and specify which attributes you want as the General Grouping Attribute and the Specific Grouping Attribute.
*Custom attributes can only be used for the building index if the checkbox This attribute can be used when customizing the Building Index on the Home Page is selected for the attribute.
